A Message from Revd Ken Flood
St Clement’s Church is delighted to be hosting, with the invaluable help and hard work from our friends and partner organization CAMRA, the 10th annual Chorlton Beer and Cider Festival.
As the Rector of St Clement’s I have met a variety of responses from people when they discover our church holds a Beer Festival. Some people are surprised. Most people are delighted. Only once have I be told I am a hypocrite and it is “disgusting” (whatever that may mean). But it does beg the question why does a church run a Beer Festival? Is really what we should be about?
To my mind there are three main reasons…
Thursday Preview Evening – Ticket Details
Tickets for the special festival Preview Evening on Thursday 3rd July will go on sale from Saturday 7th June.
They will be available from The Beech Inn, Beech Road, Chorlton.
There will only be 300 tickets available for sale.
Tickets will be priced at £10 and will include your souvenir festival glass, a copy of the festival programme and a £5 beer/cider token so you can get straight to the bar. Cash payments only at The Beech Inn please.
If you would like to buy a ticket but cannot get to The Beech Inn, please e-mail thursday@chorltonbeerfestival.org.uk stating your name and how many tickets you require.
